Convergence & Divergence                                in Native Health Research

Disaster Response in Tribal Lands

Purpose: The Southwest Environmental Health Sciences Center and Native American Research Training Center invite you to discuss Traditional Healing and research and training in the elements of life including water, air, and DNA relevant to Native people and those working with Tribes and Native communities. The Winter Institute and Tribal Forum will share successful resolution of community issues related to environmental disasters and to build capacity to respond to long-term and immediate environmental impacts on human health and our environment.

Who: This three day conference is for Tribal leaders, community members, students, educators, researchers, healthcare providers, tribal environmental professionals, first responders and disaster response professionals, and those working in Native American Health. 

When: This three day event will take place on February 25 - 27, 2019 from 8:30am - 5:00pm
