Awards and Accolades

Patricia B. Hoyer, a professor in the Department of Physiology, has received two prestigious awards from the Society of Toxicology. Hoyer’s research specializes in the effects of environmental chemicals on ovarian function. She was recognized with the Reproductive and Developmental Toxicology Specialty Section Lifetime Scientific Achievement Award, which is presented to members for lifetime achievement or contribution of an influential body of work to the reproductive and developmental toxicology industry. Hoyer also received the Women in Toxicology Special Interest Group Mentoring Award, which is given to individuals recognized as having major influence in the mentoring of female scientists entering the field of toxicology.
