Research Interests:

Biosensors, Single cell analysis, Nrf2, Arsenic

Environmental Health Research & Expertise:

Dr. Wong’s laboratory works on microfluidics and nanoengineered biosensors for a wild spectrum of environmental health applications, such as whole cell biosensors for environmental monitoring, high throughput screening and single cell gene expression analysis.  His research team is currently investigating the interplay between arsenic and Nrf2 on collective migration and cancer.  Among other honors, Dr. Wong was awarded the NIH Director's New Innovator Award in 2010, Arizona Engineering Faculty Fellow in 2011, AAFSAA outstanding Faculty Award in 2013, and JALA 10 – A Top 10 Breakthrough in Innovation in 2014.  Dr. Wong is currently a member of RFG3, ROS & Disease Prevention.
