Environmental Health Research & Expertise:

Dr. Ting Wang is a member of RFG2. His research interest is to understand the exacerbated cardiopulmonary toxicity of particulate matter (PM) pollution, with pre-existing conditions including asthma and congestive heart failure. He utilizes a “systems biology” approach to investigate the toxicology of PM at multiple levels (animal physiology, tissue injury, cellular response, protein/gene dysregulation, and toxicogenomics). These findings have been reported in peer reviewed journals including Environmental Health Perspective, American Journal of Respiratory cell and molecular biology, and Particle and Fibre Toxicology. Dr. Wang has received multiple prestigious academic awards, including Parker B. Francis Fellowship (from Francis Family Foundation), AFMR Scholar Award (from American Federation for Medical Research), and K-award (from Central Society for Clinical and Translational Research).
