Research Interests:

Xenobiotic toxicities in progressive liver disease

Environmental Health Research & Expertise:

Dr. Clarke’s research interests include investigation of the molecular mechanisms behind the adverse effects of xenobiotics and how exposure can contribute to development of disease in human populations. He is actively engaged in the Society of Toxicology (SOT) where he previously served as postdoctoral representative to the Mechanisms Specialty Section, winner of the Gabriel L. Plaa Education Award, winner of the best postdoctoral publication award, and he is currently serving as a Counselor for the SOT Postdoctoral Assembly Executive Board.  Dr. Clarke is a member of the SWEHSC and has received both career development and pilot project support from the Center.
