The University of Arizona College of Pharmacy has announced new interim leadership roles for two longtime faculty members.
Effective Nov. 9, Walter Klimecki, DVM, PhD, associate professor and associate head of the UA Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology, was named interim department head.
Also effective Nov. 9, Nathan Cherrington, PhD, professor and head of Pharmaceutical Sciences and director of graduate studies at the UA College of Pharmacy, became interim director of the UA Center for Toxicology.
The interim positions became necessary after Terrence Monks, PhD, associate dean for research and graduate studies and head of the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology, and Serrine Lau, PhD, professor and director of the Center for Toxicology, announced that they have accepted positions at Wayne State University in Detroit.
