Dr. Heather Patisaul is a Senior Investigator and the Scientific Director of the Division of
Translational Toxicology at the NIEHS. She is a leader in the field of neuroendocrine
disruption, has an h-index of 63, and has over 12,000 total citations of her 110+ peer-
reviewed publications. Dr. Patisaul researches the mechanisms of how chemical
pollutants disrupt neurodevelopment, and how neuroendocrine disruption differs between
the sexes. Prior to joining the NIEHS, Dr. Patisaul served as Associate Dean for Research in
the College of Sciences at North Carolina State University.
