Cancer Haunts Neighbors of Canada’s Oil Sands Wastelands

The Canadian government is weighing regulations that could allow the companies to release the oil sands wastewater directly into the river system, so long as they first use filtration systems, microorganisms or other methods to reduce contaminants to safe levels.
