Melissa Furlong and Paloma Beamer investigated the association between pesticide exposure during pregnancy and the risk of stillbirth. The study, which utilized data from the Arizona Pesticide Use Registry alongside birth certificate data in the state, aimed to assess the impact of various pesticide exposures on stillbirth risk. Since they don’t break down, it allows them to travel long distances through the environment, and accumulate in our bodies. The EPA also recently put limits on the so-called "forever chemicals" in drinking water. Some Arizona communities have been dealing with PFAS in their water supplies, as well. Read more
