Scientific digital imaging workshop presented at Virginia Tech

On October 4, 2019 Cellular Imaging Facility Core manager Doug Cromey, MS was the invited speaker for a half-day workshop at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University entitled Introduction to Scientific Digital Images: Avoiding Twisted Pixels. Mr. Cromey was involved in developing this workshop at the University of Arizona, in collaboration with other campus colleagues, over 13 years ago. Attendance at the annual UA workshop is eligible for responsible conduct of research training credits for students that are funded by the NIH and NSF as graduate students or post doctoral fellows.

The October 2019 workshop was the inaugural event for Virginia Tech University's LabConnect^[1] group. The workshop had over 50 attendees, including faculty, staff, graduate and undergraduate students. After the workshop, Mr. Cromey met informally with several core facility managers and directors to share ideas.
