Toxic Detectives Home

2021 Program Dates: July 26,2021 - July 30,2021

Program Description

The Toxic Detectives week-long summer camp is an amazing opportunity for middle school students (grades 6-8) to learn real world connections to toxicology and the environment. In addition, students will explore the campus environment at the University of Arizona.

The purpose of this camp is to expose young students to the field of Toxicology and Environmental Health. It will provide hands-on activity-based learning, with the goal that students will obtain the confidence to follow a science career path. Students learn about toxicology through a myriad of activities, labs, and professional speakers.

The camp takes place on the U of A campus at Drachman Hall. While the camp predominantly takes place in a classroom, many field trips are taken on campus for lab visits and for outdoor activities. The camp cost $225.
