About the Founders Day Lecture
Founders Day was established in 1979 to commemorate the founding of the college, which opened its doors on November 17, 1967. It is also an opportunity to recognize and honor COM-T faculty for their scientific accomplishments.
Each year, faculty members select a peer whose research has a continuous thread of significance and who can effectively present that research with enthusiasm, vigor and inspiration.
The 2025 honoree is Donata Vercelli, MD, Regents Professor of cellular and molecular medicine, director of the Arizona Center for the Biology of Complex Diseases, associate director of the Asthma and Airway Disease Research Center, and member of the BIO5 Institute. Her presentation will be titled, “Farms, microbes, and a world without allergies and asthma.”
Complimentary reception with light fare starts at 11:30 a.m.
Program starts at noon and ends at 1 p.m.
Registration is required. Registration link is here.
