Image Arizona takes lead as OSHA opens hearings on federal heat rule June 17, 2025 An informal, virtual public hearing process has begun for the federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration’s proposed rule to establish a federal heat standard in the workplace. The Heat Injury and Illness Prevention in Outdoor and Indoor Work Settings would apply to all employers to protect indoor and outdoor workers across sectors where OSHA has jurisdiction, such as general industry, construction, agriculture, and maritime, with some exceptions. Image CoVHORT research study on COVID hits 5-year anniversary milestone June 9, 2025 The college’s CoVHORT research study recently celebrated its 5-year anniversary, a major milestone. The first CoVHORT survey went out on May 28, 2020, and since then more than 9,000 Arizonans have signed up to participate in the study!
